This is your daily horoscope for Saturday, January 3rd, 2026. The action starts out around 12:30 a.m. when the moon and cancer forms an opposition with Venus and Capricorn. This is going to highlight some of our close one-on-one relationships. There might be a moment of tension. There could also be some sort of important decision or action you're making about a relationship or a contract. If you're dreaming around this time, maybe you are having a dream that focuses on a relationship with a chosen family member or someone significant in your life as well. This can also feel like a little bit of a full moon moment regarding your own creativity and your relationship with your desires and self-expression. This is an opportunity to make an important decision or focus on your self-expression and your creative side as well. Around 2 02 a.m., we have a full moon in Cancer. This is taking place at 13 degrees. If you have any planets or placements around 13 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn, you are the main characters. Now when we have full moons in the sign of Cancer, this is a water sign. Of course, it is going to be emotional. Cancer is ruled by the moon. In astrology, the moon is the planet that is associated with our memories, our ancestry, our lineage, our chosen family. And that's why Cancer's zodiac sign is often associated with being so nostalgic and sentimental. So the feelings that are coming up, they are deep. They run through our family lines through generations. They are something that we have had in our bones, possibly from birth. Now, this full moon in Cancer is taking place in the second Deccan of Cancer, which is the Three of Cups in the Tarot. The Three of Cups in the Tarot is this card of celebration and friendship and coming together. It's like a fun night out on the town with your besties. That's kind of the vibe. And while that would be very cute, this full moon in particular has an important aspect baked into it. It has a conjunction to Mars in Capricorn. And the moon is forming a conjunction with Jupiter in Cancer. And we are approaching a Mars-Jupiter opposition. So with those two planets kind of dictating the energy, the energetic signature of this moon, there is this element of either needing to set a boundary, or of conflict, or of standing up for yourself and for what you believe in, or this big push towards a goal and taking a risk and doing something unexpected that you haven't done before. This could show up as conflict in our friendships. This could show up as conflict with our roommates or our chosen family, since we do have this full moon taking place in the second decan of cancer. Now, when we have a full moon in Cancer, this is also a very important time to reflect on your relationship with the land, the land that you are living on. Do you know whose land you are living on and occupying? This is a very important time, as it is always, but may I recommend going to native-land.ca to find out about the indigenous stewards of the land you're living on? Do they have an organization that you can give reparations to? Do they have an organization that could use some of your volunteer work or your time, your energy, or effort in some other way? Is there a way that you can give back? We know that the land back movement isn't just morally right, but it also quite literally can help combat climate change by returning the land to the people who are in deep ancestral relationship with it and have this ancestral wisdom and knowledge of how to live with the land and Mother Earth in harmony. And so that is something that I invite all of us to reflect on today, ways in which we can get involved and support the land back movement. And if you're curious about where to start, I think a great place to start is by finding out whose land you're living on. Later on, around 4:30 a.m., the moon and cancer will form an opposition with Mars and Capricorn. And this is that moment of tension. You could wake up with a lot of energy, you could wake up feeling frustrated, you could get in a fight with someone. Maybe this is a moment where you're feeling exhausted, like you've exerted a ton of energy, or you're feeling under pressure to make a decision or take action as well. Later on, around 3 p.m., the moon in Cancer will form a conjunction with Jupiter in Cancer. And this is typically seen as lucky and supportive energy.
