Opening & Massive Week Ahead
Stephanie CamposWelcome to Starring Stephanie Campos. This episode is for the week of February 16th through the 22nd, 2026. This is for sure one of the biggest astrological weeks of all of 2026. We have so much going on in the sky. I'm feeling potentially under the weather, like just on the precipice. I popped to Advil, so I'm feeling okay right now, but I'm gonna keep this a little bit shorter and succinct. Okay, before we dive in, a few important items. The state of Alabama is scheduled to execute Charles Sonny Burton in early March. Sonny is on death row for a crime he did not commit. He literally did not kill anyone, and he was actually not even in the same room or building when the person was murdered. The person who did shoot the gun actually received a lesser sentence, life in prison without parole. Why is the state of Alabama scheduled to execute Sonny? Because there is an incredibly unjust, oppressive, and definitely racist law known as felony murder law. Under this law, individuals who participate in a felony like a robbery, even if they don't do the actual crime or the murdering, they can be held to the same standards as the person who did. So they can get the same sentence as the person who actually committed the crime or the murder. Regardless of whether or not they were present during the murder. And this is all despite the fact that Tori Battle, who was the victim's daughter, has asked that Sonny not be killed. In 2025, she told the Attorney General that she opposed the execution. You can make a difference and demand that Governor Ivy grant clemency for Sonny Burton. It is so easy. It takes 20 seconds of your life. I'll put the phone number in the show notes. You call, someone answers, you say that Sonny deserves to live, and Governor Ivy needs to demand clemency for him. And we're gonna do this every day until March 12th, or until Governor Ivy grants clemency. Some of you who have been following me for a while may have noticed that I talk a lot about the death penalty, and that is because I am completely against the death penalty. I am in favor of abolishing the death penalty and abolishing the prison industrial complex. The death penalty in particular has stuck with me as one of my core memories. I remember in sixth grade we had to write this persuasive essay, and it was about the death penalty, whether you were in favor of it or against it. And to me, it was just a no-brainer. I remember thinking, who's gonna write in favor of the death penalty? And I wrote this beautiful essay, and the teacher loved it, and it's stuck with me ever since. It's like one of my core memories from middle school, and I don't have a lot of memories from my childhood, but this one has always stuck with me. I've done some advocacy work for Death Penalty Action. They're another great organization to check out if you are interested in using your voice and your privilege to stand up for those people who are going to be put in unjust circumstances and essentially executed. I think humans are imperfect and none of us are here to judge or have the power or the authority to say who deserves to live and who deserves to die. That is beyond our intelligence, our capabilities. And I don't believe anyone deserves to suffer from the death penalty regardless of what they've done. I believe in a better world. I believe in a world where we are all free, where we recommit to this divine responsibility we have for one another and to care for one another. And I believe in rehabilitation. I believe people can change. I believe people make mistakes. And it is also a fact that many people on death row and affected by the prison industrial complex are in these circumstances because of the oppressive systems, framework, and racist structures and systems that exist within our society. So you will continue hearing me talk about the death penalty. This is something I am going to continue elevating and advocating for the abolishment of the death penalty for the people who are scheduled to suffer under this oppressive system. But in this case, in particular, Sonny is literally innocent. And he deserves to live, and he doesn't deserve to suffocate to death, which is what they're planning to do with nitrogen gas. So I'll leave the phone number in the show notes. And please, please, please give Governor Ivy's office a call. All you have to say is that one sentence that you ask that Governor Ivy grant clemency for Sonny Burton. Another super important news item the US is enacting an oil blockade against Cuba. This is important for so many reasons. And it's important to draw the parallels between what is going on around the world. And when we say that all of these atrocities are interconnected, it's because they are. So when we look to the genocide in Palestine, the way that that began was Israel cut off fuel to the Palestinians. That's what the United States is doing right now to Cuba. This is an absolute crisis that can turn into a genocide. The island has only a few days left of oil. We can make a difference by calling our representatives. They work for us. We do not have to swear loyalty to them or a specific party. They should care about our interests if they want our vote. And this blockade is cruel and barbaric. So I've been using the Five Calls app every day to call my senator, and this is just one of the items I tack on there. I always continue to mention the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Talk about ICE. I mean, truly, the list goes on and on. This week there was a news article by Al Jazeera that was released that said Israel used a weapon that made thousands of Palestinians evaporate. An investigation reveals how a US-backed bomb, essentially U.S. supplied thermal and thermobaric munitions burning at 3,500 degrees Celsius, have left no trace of nearly 3,000 Palestinians. I've noticed in my newsfeed I'm getting less and less news. I don't know if that's something that you all have noticed on TikTok and Instagram, but it's definitely something that I have seen increase even over just the past few days. And I think it's so important to continue elevating these topics, these stories, as we are getting exposed to less and less news, and that these algorithms are controlled by the billionaires with very specific interests and who are funding these genocides. Everyone has a different role in this revolution. You know, maybe you are making art, maybe you're offering child care to an exhausted neighbor who works two jobs, maybe you're calling your senators and your representatives every single day. It's going to look different for everyone. But you were made unique and special for this moment. Lean into your gifts and talents. I promise there is a way that you can funnel them into the collective and creating and building the world in which we all deserve. Despite it all, I still have so much hope in my heart, and I will fight for that world until my last breath. Signed a Jupiter in Cancer in my 12th house. Okay, but like I said, this week's astrology is iconic and a huge deal for a few reasons. So let's get into it. The BFD, biggest freaking deal aspect and the worst aspect, I mean, are kind of baked into one another. So let's lump those together. Don't you worry, there is the best aspect of the week. There's a beautiful day as well, but there's a lot of intense energy. We are in the balsamic moon phase, right? We're leading up to that new moon solar eclipse. And that means that the moon is losing light and it's shedding, and this is a period of loss and of releasing, essentially. So if you feel exhausted, if you feel emotional, you're not alone. That is part of the natural rhythmic cycle that we're moving through as we work towards this new moon solar eclipse in Aquarius. So this is taking place on Tuesday, February 17th. The eclipse is happening at 28 degrees. So if you have any planets or placements around 28 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, you're going to feel the effects of this eclipse the most intensely. This eclipse is happening in the very late degrees of Aquarius, almost the final degree. So even though this is a new moon, which is oftentimes associated with planting new seeds and intentions and new beginnings, there is some sort of finality or an ending associated with it as well. This is an eclipse, so that means that whatever endings, beginnings are taking place, they're gonna feel faded and destined. It's gonna feel like there are changes taking place that we've avoided and spirit, ancestors, universes takes the wheel and we're going in this direction all of a sudden. And it can feel rushed, it can feel destabilizing, it can feel exciting and inspiring. So this eclipse is going to affect all of us differently. It's gonna depend on our personal birth charts, of course. However, at the same time of this eclipse, we have a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in the sign of Aries at zero degrees, the very first degree of Aries and the very first degree of the entire zodiac wheel. So tell me that's not a big deal. Now, the reason that these two are linked is because the eclipse is taking place in the sign of Aquarius, which is ruled by Saturn. Okay, so that means that this eclipse is responding to Saturn and Neptune sitting together in the sky at the time of the eclipse. So when Saturn and Neptune come together, let's chat about what each of these planets represent. And I would say that this is kind of the worst aspect of the week, if if I had to say, if I had to pick one. Is it possible that there's a positive manifestation? Sure. But I'm gonna keep it real. I think it's gonna be a little difficult. All right. So Saturn and Neptune are coming together exactly on Friday, February 20th. And like I said, they're coming together at zero degrees. So Saturn is a planet of boundaries, borders, limitation, maturity, responsibility, land, ancestors, bones, who and what sits at the margins, consequences, limits, disappointment, self-criticism, dedication, commitment, rewards over time. Neptune is this planet of disillusion, ideals, spirituality, creativity, compassion. When they come together, it's rare. This happens once every 36 years or so. The last time these two planets came together in the sign of Aries was in 1703, and that didn't even happen at zero degrees. So that makes this, in my personal opinion, and many other astrologers' opinions, a bigger deal because it's happening at the first degree of the zodiac. So when Saturn and Neptune come together, there is this sense of a dissolving of some structure, system, people, place, thing in our life that felt stable and secure. And Neptune kind of erases or evaporates that or brings confusion or uncertainty. Over time, we are able to take some of our dreams and our ideals and our visions for the future and bridge that and meld it together with Saturn to build something constructively in the tangible world. But at first, is this energy going to feel alarming and jarring? Yeah. Especially if you were born with your Saturn in Capricorn or Libra or Aries or Cancer. You're going through either your Saturn Square or your opposition, and it's really gonna kick some stuff up. If you were born in like 1989 through, I don't know, 90 or 91, you also have a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in your chart, making this a huge deal for you as well. Now we've already been feeling this energy build, to be honest, especially once Saturn re-entered Aries on February 13th. We also had a period last year where Saturn and Neptune were co-present in Aries. So we had some energy from May of last year through September of last year, where we were able to pick up on themes and clues of what this might look like to us, but it wasn't the exact conjunction. So this is a big deal. And I just want to affirm that if you're feeling anxious, if you're feeling uncertain, if you feel like some things are falling apart in your life, that is kind of the astrological weather right now. It's not going to stay like that forever. But it is this feeling of kind of losing your footing or what felt stable. Obviously, seeing this collectively in many, many ways, but we're also feeling it on a personal level as well. Now I go way into depth about both of these aspects and personal horoscopes on my podcast. If you join me over on Patreon, you can get access to seven episodes of your daily horoscope for the week ahead. I also have another tier, the per tier, where I do live monthly meetups and events and classes, offer an in-depth collective psychic reading, monthly tarot spread, and so much more. I would love to see you there. If you're watching the video version on YouTube, please subscribe to my YouTube channel. I've been posting daily video versions of the podcast for two weeks, and I'm planning to do it for the rest of my life. Wish me luck. If you are interested in learning more about astrology, tarot, building a relationship with your own intuition and psychic development, I am also launching the next class, Grimmore, which is a 12-week group mentorship where we do in-depth group exercises. You get readings from me. This is the only place where I actually teach astrology. There are two classes dedicated just to astrology. Actually, no, there are four classes dedicated to astrology. We also cover tarot, connecting with your spirit team, collective healing, spell work, and so much more. The course begins on the spring equinox in March, and we're gonna do a group spell and just an introductory session, getting to know each other, and then classes and session the following week. There's a link in the show notes if you want to learn more. Okay, but the best astrology of the week, because yes, there is one, one single beautiful day. Sunday, February 22nd, is beautiful for two reasons. The first, Venus and Pisces is forming a shrine with Jupiter in Cancer. Venus is exalted in Pisces, and Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. And so that just means that they're in these strong positions. Now, Venus and Jupiter are the two benefics in astrology, which means they are lucky, supportive, fortunate, hopeful, inspiring, and just. And so when they come together, especially in these beautiful, gentle water signs, and they're in these strong positions, in these zodiac signs, that they're just better able to do the things that they do, this is a period of relief, gratitude, presence, support, progress, both personally and collectively. Now, what makes this day even more special is that the moon will be in Taurus, which is also exalted. And that day in particular, it's traveling between Venus and Jupiter. So if you've ever listened to my podcast, which obviously you have, you'll probably have heard me mention that because the moon is the closest celestial body to Earth, when it connects with these planets that are further away, it brings the essence and the energy of that planet down to us. And that also carries over to these planetary aspects. So we are going to feel the effects of that Venus Jupiter trine a little bit more pronounced and beautifully, really. So this is a great day for magic, for taking a risk, for putting yourself out there, for learning lucky news, having healing conversations, getting involved and caring for your local community, for giving back, for feeling emotionally secure and fulfilled or creatively inspired. You can really use and channel this energy however you see fit, but I really see this as a beautiful and sweet reprieve. I personally am planning on hosting a neighborhood event. I made a flyer. I'm gonna print it out tomorrow and hand it out. And I'm just gonna ask neighbors to get together to get to know each other. I'm gonna start doing it on Zoom. So if you're local to the San Francisco area and you want information, send me an email. There's a form on my website. You can just shoot me an email. But I'm using this energy to focus on community building. And maybe it's something you want to try. I'm starting from, you know, Zilch. I've never done this before, but you got to start somewhere. I made a post on next door and I had one person reach out in my neighborhood who is interested and on board. I've just been so inspired by the community in Minneapolis and how they're showing up for their neighbors and one another. And I want to try to build something similar here where we're able to lean on each other and support each other and offer help for one another and just build a stronger community in my own community. So if you have any tips, if you are local to the Bay Area and you want to join, or you just want to chat about community organizing, or if you have experience, let me know because I'm new to all of this, but you gotta start somewhere. Okay, it's a big week. We are all gonna be totally changed by the time I see you next week, and I'm sure we will all have a lot to report on. Thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you tomorrow.
