This is your daily horoscope for Friday, July 17th, 2026. All times are Pacific Standard Time. The action starts out around 1 a.m. when the moon in Virgo forms a square with Uranus in Gemini. This is going to bring some sudden change of plans. If you're sleeping around this time, you could wake up or have an odd dream. Maybe there is something particularly insightful that comes through a dream. If you're awake during this time, this could just be a sudden change of plans or the encouragement you need to take a risk or even think differently because these two planets are coming through in Mercury ruled signs, which has to do with communication and how we speak to others and ourselves. Around 8 a.m., the moon in Virgo is going to form a conjunction with Venus in Virgo. And this is going to mark a moment that highlights your close relationships. It's going to reactivate that Venus Uranus square that took place a few days prior on Monday, July 13th. So similar themes and topics from that time period might re-emerge. But in general, when the moon is with Venus, it can be this moment of pleasant interactions with others, of feeling supported, of feeling creatively inspired or fulfilled, or just having your needs met in some way. And that could look like a warm meal, it could look like a cozy blanket, having gas in your tank, whatever it looks like for you. But the moon did just come off that square with Uranus. So it is possible that if there is something kind of unsettling that took place in a relationship, maybe you are revisiting it or even having a conversation or interaction that brings a renewed sense of stability. However, around 4 p.m., the moon and Virgo will form a square with Mars and Gemini. This creates a lot of anxiety and tension and discomfort and overthinking. So it can be productive. It can give you the courage to speak your truth, to stand up for what matters for you, to take bold action on an idea. But it can also be this moment where you're feeling under pressure to make a decision or take action and be decisive, or you feel pulled in a lot of directions. Now, around 10 p.m., Uranus and Gemini is going to form a trine with Pluto and Aquarius at four degrees. These again are the outer planets, and this is a rare connection. Uranus and Pluto both have to do with change in different ways. Uranus is sudden, unexpected, like a lightning bolt, a burst, a liberating revolutionary breakthrough. Pluto is deep, profound and intense and scary transformation. It's alchemy. It's the process of alchemy, of taking your fears, your pain, and alchemizing them for self-awareness, self-growth, and your own evolution and transformation. Now, these two planets are coming together. I think collectively this really just stirs up a lot of thoughts about we see a lot of technological innovations when Uranus and Pluto come together. We are living in a time of AI. And if you don't already know, AI is harming our country and the world and the people living in the world right now. These data centers are not only like turning the water brown, but in neighborhoods that are almost always predominantly full of black and brown people, that is where these data centers are being built. And the fumes that it create in the air is also causing cancer and all other types of health disorders that are life-threatening. And it goes just beyond uh wasting our fresh water. And also, these data centers don't need to use fresh water. That was just the cheapest way for them to cool the systems. So every time you use Claude or Chat GPT or whatever the fuck, it is in order to spit out an answer to you, it requires these massive data centers that have all of these, you know, computers in there that get really hot and they have to stay cool. Otherwise, they kind of blow up and explode and it doesn't work. So they need to remain cool, but they're using fresh water, which is just lazy and harmful, and can quite literally kill us, right? Can quite literally um harm the collective. But these billionaires don't care because they have bunkers in New Zealand or wherever. Um okay, so collectively there might be some sort of massive shift regarding technological quote unquote progress, but progress for who? Right? The technocrats, um, military AI, we're seeing it deployed in Palestine and Lebanon. Um, we're seeing it deployed here with ICE agents. So this is an opportunity to think more about the hidden side, right? Pluto, the shadow side of AI, or maybe our own complicency in it, or ways in which we can evolve and transform and divest and liberate ourselves and our mind from this harmful plague that is kind of being pushed onto us. You know, not only is it making us dumber and a little lazier, I would say, it's killing the people and the land. So we are living in trying times, and every small action we take matters. Even if it feels like it doesn't, even if you just stop buying coffee from Starbucks and start boycotting them, even if you stop going to Target every weekend, maybe you just go there once a month because the way that these monopolies are set up, some of you have to shop at Target. There are no other options. I understand that, but it's about divestment. So making these small changes, that is something that Uranus and Pluto coming together can help us to to liberate our minds, the stories we tell ourselves, how we interact in our local neighborhoods, um, to help create positive change for the collective, to unearth the shadows and the underbelly of society and to expose it and to choose differently. I think mentally, this is also, and personally, this is a great day to shift your own mindset to break old narratives and storylines you've been telling yourself and to choose differently. And this can also help you take some sort of risk that feels empowering as well. Now, around 11:30 p.m., the moon and Virgo forms a sex style with Mercury and Cancer. This is great for communication, this is great for divination, for connecting with your intuition, for having healing and grounding and meaningful conversations and interactions with others.
