This is your daily horoscope for Thursday, August 6th, 2026. All times are Pacific Standard Time. Now, Venus, the planet of love, relationships, connection, desire, pleasure, finances, our personal values, enters the sign of Libra around 12 p.m. Venus is in its home sign when it moves through the sign of Libra, which just means it's a fancy way of saying that Venus really enjoys moving through the sign of Libra. It feels comfortable. Libra gives it the opportunity and the framework to explore desire and pleasure in a more cerebral way, right? Because Libra is an air sign. And this is a great time for socializing, for friendships, focusing on your friendships, your sense of belonging, creating community, doing things maybe in person. There's so much online, so much of our time is spent consumed scrolling, are many of us, right? And this is a great time to get together in person, to attend a live event, or to just invest in your one-on-one relationships as well, the people that matter to you, and to really refine your personal values because that's what Venus is all about as well. Venus is our finances too. So blending the two. Are you spending your money ethically? Are there ways in which you can sacrifice a little convenience to live more in alignment with your values? You know, maybe it looks like ending your Amazon Prime subscription, or if you have three streaming services, you know, cutting one of them, getting rid of Netflix, getting rid of Hulu, HBO Max, who ran ice ads, just saying, I don't know. You know, thinking of ways in which you can spend your money and use your resources in alignment with what you believe in. And remembering that we do live in this society and capitalism that makes us reliant on a lot of these systems and structures. So it's not about perfection, but how can you divest? Um what small steps can you take? It's not about doing all of them at once, but what small steps can you commit to to make changes to embody those values? And what small steps can you take to embody more joy and pleasure in your life? Is there a workshop you can sign up for? Have you always wanted to learn how to do pottery or ceramics or take a certain type of dance class or study a new language? How can you express and experience more pleasure and desire in that way and expand your mind and your lived experience in that way as well? Because when Venus moves through Libra, it's a reminder that joy and expressing your joy is part of your life, and you deserve to. Now, around 4:30 p.m., the moon and Taurus forms a sextile with Mercury and Cancer, cute for communication, lovely for social interactions, great for focusing on writing and speaking projects. There's more of a blend between your feeling of security and safety in your mental world. So maybe you're just feeling a little bit more grounded and tethered or on track with things or supported emotionally. And this can also be a little period of productivity as well. Now around 8 p.m., the sun and Leo forms a trine with Saturn and Aries. And this brings a sense of stability. It is a moment where you might be recognized for some of your hard work, your responsibility, something you've made a commitment to. You could stand out and receive, you know, your flowers in a way. You could take on more responsibility in a positive sense, you know, in a way that feels affirming. And this is taking place at 14 degrees. So if you have any planets or placements around 14 degrees of the fire signs, you'll feel this the most intensely and the benefits of this the most intensely. But really, this is a grounding energy. It helps you kind of stabilize, feel more solid and secure in your own sense of self. It helps you recognize who and what you're committed to and what feels good and who and what you want to continue to stay committed to, whether it's personal projects or contracts or friendships. And it's a stabilizing energy and it can help you also kind of be productive as well. It's a great time for signing contracts, reflecting on contracts and commitments. And also very lovely, around 8 30 p.m., Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow period in Cancer at 26 degrees. So we started this whole Mercury retrograde back in July, at the end of July, at 26 degrees of cancer, and now we have finally cleared the shadow period. So even though Mercury retrograde ended, you know, earlier in oh I'm sorry, Mercury retrograde started June 29th. Okay, at 26 degrees of cancer. It ended on July 23rd. But from July 23rd up until today, August 6th, we've been in this post-retrograde shadow period. So if you have felt like, oh my gosh, things are still shitty. I am feeling, you know, you're still dealing with issues that have come up during your retrograde, or you're still dealing with certain frustrations, you're not alone. This is kind of like the final cleanup, you know, where you're taking your dustpan and your broom and you're just putting those final balls of fur, or I have very fluffy animals, so I always have balls of fur around my house. Um whatever you normally dust up in your home, you know, you're getting those final little pieces that are hiding hiding under the furniture and you're clearing up that story. So this should bring a sense of relief. We're finally moving forward in new terrain and moving on from that very emotional. I'm projecting here. I don't know if it was emotional for you, but holy hell, it's been emotional for me. Mercury retrograding cancer. Now, around 11 p.m., the moon enters Gemini. And around 11:55 p.m., right before midnight, the moon and Gemini forms a trine with Venus and Libra. Beautiful for sleeping, beautiful for having a sweet dream, some restful sleep, great for a romantic interaction, or just feeling loved and grateful and supported.
