Laura, happy August. Here we are. How are you? Hello, Stephanie. I'm well, I think. That is the perfect response. The only acceptable response these days.
SPEAKER_02In between the crash outs, the crying, the confusion, what is happening to our world? We persist. And so we're here for August.
Stephanie CamposYes. We're showing up for you and the world in which we all deserve that we are working towards and building. So a lot happened in July. We always start out with a recap. Do you want to take us through some of those highlights and items?
SPEAKER_02Yes. Now there is there was an overarching theme of July of things coming to a kind of a crashing halt, halt for a lot of things, a lot of people. I think a lot of people are waking up to the fact that we live in a moment of the United States where we cannot keep going on the way that it's been going on for 250 years. I mean, on July 4th was the 250th solar return of the United States. And what I noticed right from the get-go of like the beginning of July were a lot of ice murders, a lot of black uh boys being unalived, murdered, and disappearing. And we we really were hesitant of bringing up their names because we don't want to astrologize the murder of black and brown people. But we also didn't want to not name what is going on in this country. So we just wanted to everyone to be aware of what has been going on in July. And yeah, did you want to say something?
Stephanie CamposJust that, you know, if you're not following the Nolan Wells case or you're not aware of what's going on with him, please research it. Please do your part. And I'll have a link in my show notes to his family's GoFundMe to help bring as much justice as possible. Nothing will bring him back and to the other. Um there's just been so much loss uh from of people from the global majority in this country, especially around the beginning of this month. And uh it's just important to stay informed to remind everyone that racism is alive and well in this country, and we need to do our part.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. And I just pray that their ancestors uplift them and protect them and protect all of us as we're doing this work together. On July 8th, Instagram's AI tool, Muse, launched, but then it was canceled because of the backlash of meta-users. And I just thought that was such a Mercury retrograde, but also Neptune and Aries kind of thing, where they tried to launch this thing. And surprise, surprise, people didn't want their photos being used for AI slop, essentially.
Stephanie CamposRight, right. Yeah, I loved that. I love to see that.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. On July 11th, Republican South Carolina Senator Linda Graham, diva down, died at 71. And I mean, a lot of people didn't know that Lindsey Graham was gay or like closeted. I just thought it was like a well-known fact because a lot of escorts during the pandemic would come out about these stories of Lindsey Graham. So I just thought it was widely known, but apparently people didn't know. And Lindsey Graham was in Ukraine July 10th and then had a heart attack the next day. So there are some theories out there that this wasn't just a heart attack, but you know, 71, you're in a 12th house perfection year. Not that like every 71-year-old dies, but I just thought it was just interesting, the stories that were coming out during that time.
Stephanie CamposWell, and wasn't it the very same day or the next day where they like released either a statement or a photo of Mitch McConnell being like, he's alive and well. Yes. I think they body swapped them.
SPEAKER_02Oh, oh, you did?
Stephanie CamposYes. That is my conspiracy theory. It just seems so strange that all of a sudden, yeah.
SPEAKER_02The whole thing with Mitch McConnell is so bizarre. And this whole era of like Neptune and Aries, like you don't know if the politicians are alive or dead. Because remember, like a couple of months ago, too. I mean, I definitely thought because I was one of them that Benjamin Netanyahu was also dead, but he ended up having like surgery. And Bench McConnell has been in like rehab care rehabilitation for the last six weeks. No one has seen an actual live video of him. And so there's a rumor going on that he's dead, but nobody nobody knows.
Stephanie CamposYeah.
SPEAKER_02Except Stephanie thinks that they body swapped or soul swapped.
Stephanie CamposSoul swapped, exactly. Yes, yeah. It it makes the most sense. That makes the most sense. That's the only thing that yeah, it's so crazy though. Like, we're at a time where nobody can confirm whether this US politician is alive or dead. And that's just the way it is. Oh well. And then Lindsey Graham's sister is taking over his job. Like, is that something we can just do? Like, we're just allowed to do that. That seems crazy.
SPEAKER_02Literally, like, what is happening? That's why it's all it all just seems very suspicious.
Stephanie CamposLike, can we do that in any profession? That just seems very, very where is that in the constitution? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yes. And I've watched way too many political dramas like scandal, house of cards. You know, it's like the way they take out these uh senators just seems a little suspicious to me. But this is like par for the course. I feel like more and more of this stuff is happening. And the whole month of July was so interesting because in the backdrop of all this, we have the FIFA World Cup. Did you get to watch some of it?
Stephanie CamposIt was on in the background here. Yes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Me and my family were so into it. More because, like, we were, well, at least for me, it was like I was rooting for the underdog, like all the way through. And I just love how they were hosting it, some of the games in the United States. And um, it really showed or it revealed to a lot of people the colonial resentment that we all have. Like, because people would be like, Oh, why are you rooting against France or why are you rooting against England? And it's like, those are the OG colonizers. But then, like, when it was Spain versus Argentina, we were all rooting for Spain because Spain is pro-Palestine, you know?
Stephanie CamposWell, and all of the Nazis went to Argentina, and Argentina systemically removed all black people from the country. Yes, in a violent, horrific way. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I don't, I don't, I am not sports. I don't do sports. So, you know, Joey and Sloan watched a little bit of it in the background. Um I felt like it was this way of the media projecting um a false sense of unity, right? Because there were there were a lot of these stories of like, oh, like I don't know, what was it? Like Scottish people liking Boston. Yeah. I I don't I don't remember what the stories were. But you know, where you know what I'm saying? I just felt very manicured and um same, it was around the same time as like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's wedding, and it was the 250th anniversary of the United States, and I was like, we have all of these like distractions, and at the same time, we have this false sense of like unity that's being projected widely, and everyone's consuming it and thinking, oh, it's not that bad. It just felt like such so many different layers of distraction that were going on, you know, at this moment in our history that was like so pivotal and like so introspective. Like if we didn't have any of that, I think a lot of people would be maybe I would hope thinking a little bit deeper of like, wow, 250 years, we haven't come very far, right?
SPEAKER_02What does this country mean? I'm so glad that you brought up the Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey, because I totally forgot about that and how they had their wedding at Madison Square Garden the night before the Mars and Uranus conjunction. Do you remember that? And all the astrologers were like, why would you pick that date? And right? Because I feel like during a Mercury retrograde, I feel like if you are picking that day, you don't want to stay together.
Stephanie CamposWell, I listened to your weekly forecast. Laura does weekly astrology forecasts. So if you don't tune in already, you should. And you made the point that they were siphoning and harvesting energy.
SPEAKER_02Of course I did.
Stephanie CamposI would say something like that. And no, but that's truly what I think it was. Is like when you have all of these like uh souls energetically fixated and invested emotionally because the T Swift fans are like deeply emotionally invested, it's like parasocial. Uh, that takes, you know, so much of your energy. And I think you can harvest it in a way that is diabolical. I mean, she invite invited someone to her wedding who like owns a bunch of ICE detention centers. Yes. It's like, come on. It's like we need to start seeing through these billionaires and the celebrities. They they don't care about us or they don't care if we survive the global disasters. They'll just go in their private jets off to New Zealand.
SPEAKER_02In their bunkers. Right. Yes. And so we have the World Cup, we have the 250th anniversary of the United States, Taylor Swift's wedding, then we have the wildfires in Canada, the wildfires in France and Spain, then we have the poop lettuce, where because of the harsh conditions, like I'm not even gonna say harsh, I'm gonna say inhumane working conditions of the people that pick our food. They're not allowed to take bathroom breaks. And a lot of them are afraid to report these conditions because of ice. And so now we have poop on our lettuce. So this is all happening, and I think it's really showing, I mean, it has been showing the manifestation of this crumbling system.
Stephanie CamposWell, and this month the administration pulled back certain um a need to acknowledge and label certain PFAs or right on our food. So they literally don't have to say when there's forever chemicals in certain types of food. They don't literally have to say if meat is lab grown or not, or if it's real meat anymore. But that'll happen this month too. So it's like we're seeing Chiron and Taurus in real time, you know. Um Chiron is the collective in our individual wounds, and Taurus has to do with sustenance and the earth and food and nature and the environment. But uh yeah, sustenance, what keeps us going? And we're seeing a lot of those changes with our food in real time.
SPEAKER_02That's such a good point with the Chiron in Taurus. And I guess like the last thing I'll just bring up because why not? Um, on July 22nd, uh the House of Representatives passed HR 8800. I think these are important things for people to know because these senators, representatives, their salaries get paid by your tax dollars. Tax dollars that you work hard for in the in the nine to five job that a lot of us hate, a lot of y'all hate, right? Because you have to live. And so they pass this. And basically, uh, it's a bill that's stuck within a bill that is known as the National Defense Authorization Act for the fiscal year 2027. And basically, it formally merges our US military and its technology AI surveillance with the military of the Israeli military. And I'm over here thinking, like, oh, I thought they already did this. I thought this was already a thing. But now having it into law, so whenever they would pass these like eight billion dollars for in foreign aid for Israel, or you know, they don't have to do that anymore because now they've formally merged the militaries. And I was saying to Stephanie, because I'm eternally an optimistic B, is they must have done that because there is like Israel is being up is becoming a pariah state even more. Like nobody, the average person does not support the state of Israel, and they can't hide their, they're they're not even hiding their crimes anymore. I mean, if we watch the recent West Bank invasion of the small town in the West Bank and how they're literally just invading these towns, like they don't care. Yeah. So I think this is important because I think it's another step in the Greater Israel project. It's a bigger step in the US maintaining its hegemonic power. It's another step where, again, they need boots on the ground with this forever war in EDO. I think it's another step, you know, in um what is it when they do the draft?
Stephanie CamposOh, conscription.
SPEAKER_02Conscription. Yes. And like the military is the only industry that's hiring. So it it preys on young people who are poor, who are not educated, who need health insurance. And I'm I'm not gonna blame like the individual person because I'll always blame systems, but we as a people have to be aware of this so that we create safety nets for people, young people who uh have to choose this for their livelihood. Like, what other options do these people have? So that's where we need to come in collectively.
Stephanie CamposYeah, but I really appreciated your posse hot take on this. Just because we need that, and I think it's a good way to wrap it up. The news section is to just remind us that yes, is that news horrific? Absolutely, but it is a sign that we are winning and the tides are turning. And will it be overnight? No. Will there be much more violence and destruction? Absolutely. But that are your voices, you know, the the post that you think doesn't go anywhere and it reaches a couple of your friends, and then they have the guts to talk to one of their friends about it. Like all of that matters and it's a ripple effect and it is working.
SPEAKER_02And another thing that I witnessed last month that now some people are saying psyops, which is also such a Neptune and Aries thing, of people bringing down flock cameras. Did you get to see that? Oh yes. Yeah, and I think that's such an interesting Neptune and Aries signature because when I was listening to the astrology podcast when they were talking about Neptune and Aries, the the modern photography started during the Civil War when they would bring photo like cameras onto the battlefield and like film the war. And I think it's such an interesting era that we're in now where there's so many flock cameras. Like I actually didn't realize how many, because they're just like there surveilling us. And I just saw so many videos of people taking them down, and that gave me hope.
Stephanie CamposAnd showing us what we don't want to do to the flock cameras.
SPEAKER_02Right. Right.
Stephanie CamposIf you're if you're watching the video version, you'll notice we're winking. Um, yeah, what you definitely don't want to do is get a laser and point it at the flock cameras. Just make sure you don't do that.
SPEAKER_02Yes, exactly. Because that would just be really bad. Yeah. Um okay, so anything else? Should we move on to August?
Stephanie CamposLet's dive into August.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So August 3rd, Chiron stations retrograde in Taurus. It feels like an ouch.
Stephanie CamposYeah, we'll all we'll all be crying. Um it's yeah, this will bring us back to when Chiron first entered Taurus, which was June 19th, and then Chiron stationed direct in Aries in January. I want to say January 2nd. So those two time periods, give or take, a couple of days around that, whatever was going on for you, similar themes and topics are coming up again on August 3rd. But when Chiron stations and goes retrograde, I think it's just a revision period regarding our personal collective wounds and figuring out, okay, how can I recommit and how can I get back on track with my wounding journey? Or if you're struggling with your self-worth and your self-esteem, because that is very Chiron and Taurus, you know, what are some steps you can take to believe in yourself again? I don't know. What do you think?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think a lot of us could have when we witness a catastrophe or chaos. A lot of us, maybe I don't want to say a lot of us because that's generalization, but I think some people freeze, right? Or they fawn, they crash out. But I think I'm just built in a way where I'm able to face conflict as a way of like, okay, this is an opportunity to think creatively. So when this whole lettuce thing came up, I was like, oh man, like this is the time where I should have been building a garden, you know, and I just was so crazy about it that I, you know, just could go to the grocery store and buy my lettuce. And I think when Chiron Station's retrograde, I'm gonna really take that seriously. And maybe this is a time where you can get together with your neighbors if you like them, if you talk to them, and build one in your street, build one in your community. So you're not the only one that is responsible for this because it's a big undertaking.
Stephanie CamposI love that. I love that. I entered my gardening era a couple of months ago, and my some of my crops are like close to being ready to harvest. And it feels, yeah, I've got nothing that's gonna keep me alive and free of poop lettuce, but you know, like garlic and corn and herbs. And you know, there is something just so magical, like when I cook with my cilantro or I like brew my yerba mate or whatever, it just is there's a special connection you have with the plants as well that's very magical. Um so I think that's a beautiful suggestion. And we need more community gardens. So if you are looking for a direct action and way to get involved, go to your city council meeting and ask your city council members why don't we have more community gardens? It's just it can take 20 minutes of your time.
SPEAKER_02I mean, we're gonna have to have them because now I am I'm already a suspicious person. But now I'm side-eyeing all my vegetables. Every time my parents bring something home, I'm just like, is that thing gonna give me explosive diarrhea? Yeah. So yeah, I think it's just a good call to action when these things happen. And also the wildfires, I went down this like rabbit hole of um cultural burning that the indigenous people do. And that's why we have so many fires now because they ban cultural burning. Of course. And it's like now, more than ever, we should be advocating for indigenous people, their stewardships, their land back, because we're literally gonna burn to death if we don't do something.
Stephanie CamposYeah. Very important point as Chiron Stations retrograde. How do you get involved in a local land back movement?
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. Period. August 6th, the Sun and Leo will trine Saturn retrograde in Aries at 14 degrees. And on the same Venus will enter Libra, which we all love, and Mercury will be out of its post-shadow phase at 26 degrees.
Stephanie CamposMy goodness. Thank God. This Mercury retrograde was horrendous in my 12th house. I cannot handle it. I cannot handle it. And I can't believe we have to do another one next year and then one the year after that too. I'm like done with these water sign retrogrades. Um, but yeah, it was not enjoyable. So I can't wait. This is fabulous news. We are leaving the retrograde stories behind us. We're moving in a new direction and new terrain. That's lovely. And it'll bring us back to when? June, right? That was when the the pre-retrograde shadow period began. Um yeah. Sun, trying Saturn. I think this is a beautiful time to maybe get some of your flowers if you've been really committed to something, whether it is a personal relationship or a personal goal or something at work. This can bring you some recognition for whatever you've been committed to. Um, it can help you review some of your commitments and contracts as well, so you can show up the most authentically as well.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Yeah, I really like this because uh Saturn in Saturn retrograde in Aries is like reviewing, restructuring. Do I really want to commit to this thing? Do I really want to keep building this thing? Or do I need to like start from scratch? And I think you can when Saturn is in its fall. And you know, the sun is in its domicile in Leo. It's a lot of creative energy. So I really like this.
Stephanie CamposAnd Venus in Libra. Yeah, beautiful.
SPEAKER_02Venus in Libra is good for electional astrology if you want to um get married. I mean, obviously, there's other things to look at. Um, do aesthetic treatments if you're into that thing.
Stephanie CamposYes. Um, I will also say once Venus enters Libra, it's gonna start approaching that opposition with Neptune and Saturn. And so in the beginning parts of this transit, it might not feel as glorious. So if you know, you'll see in a lot of pop astrology, like, your problems are solved, all the luck is here. Uh, not no, maybe later at the end of this transit, but not in the beginning.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, everybody, not everybody, so many people on threads are like, I thought this was supposed to be the year for Leo's. And I'm like, who said that?
Stephanie CamposOh, it is it is the year where our hearts are breaking.
SPEAKER_02It's like who said that? I'm like, You got Jupiter, which I love Sam, who is our teacher. He's like, stop treating Jupiter like your Amazon gift card.
Stephanie CamposOh my gosh. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's hilarious. And I was like, and not for nothing, but like the South Anode is gonna enter Leo, which is gonna be like a whole different experience. Summertime sadness, summertime sadness is the theme for sure. Not to pop y'all's bubble, but I just we just want to keep it real here. We want to give it to 100.
Stephanie CamposYeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so then on June on August 9th, Mercury enters Leo.
Stephanie CamposYeah, you have a Mercury Leo, right? I sure do, yeah. So, you know, I think when Mercury is in Leo, we can be a little bit more stubborn and attached to our opinions and our beliefs. No, what um, but we can also we speak from the heart, and I think it's a an important time to reflect on whether or not you are being courageous or cowardly. Those are two things that Leo can be. So not to, you know, if you find yourself reflecting on more cowardly moments, you don't need to sit in a spiral of shame forever, you know, you can be accountable, you can choose differently, but you're just focusing mentally on these concepts of how can you show up most authentically, courageously, how can you speak and come up with ideas and plans and actions that come from your heart. Um I think those are some of the most positive expressions and possibilities when Mercury moves into Leo.
SPEAKER_02And Mercury and Leo's really do give great affirmations.
Stephanie CamposThat's right.
SPEAKER_02We are the cosmic cheerleaders, very much the cosmic cheerleaders. I that's why Stephanie gives the best. Um, she's like my biggest cheerleader. She's always giving me the affirmations. And I'm like, tell me more.
Stephanie CamposI I love a good pep talk. Tell me what. It's true, it's true, you know. And that's true, is I think Leo can be a very optimistic sign, right? All fire signs can be optimistic. And, you know, let your imagination, your creativity run wild in the ways of imagining the world you want. And yes, that means for the collective, but it can also be in your personal life too.
SPEAKER_02And I also think of Leo, just because there's so many planets now in Leo, right? We have the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter. It is about connecting to the inner child. Like what gives you, what like uplifts your heart? What do you like to do? That I just think of like the sun card in the tarot of how it's like a little kid on the horse. So yeah, like I think it's a good time to pursue your inner child desires as well.
Stephanie CamposA thousand percent. A thousand percent.
SPEAKER_02August 10th, Venus and Libra will try and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius at three degrees, and then Venus and Libra will oppose Neptune retrograde in Aries at four degrees.
Stephanie CamposHmm.
SPEAKER_02This is an interesting day.
Stephanie CamposYeah, it's like a supportive Venus transit and then kind of an emotional one. Um yeah, what do you think? What's your take?
SPEAKER_02I would think like a possible scenario of this is Venus, because Venus and Libra is well resourced. It's in its own sign and it wants to connect, it wants to make meaning. It has it has very strong belief system and values, whether it's, you know, we're not talking about good or bad here or working on the binary, but um, when it's trying to Pluto, it's like I want to build really strong, deep uh relational bonds to people. I want to like, I don't want to say trauma bond, but like, you know, talk about the things that are really deep. But then that Venus opposing Neptune is rose-colored glasses and not seeing the truth of something. So it's such different energy.
Stephanie CamposYeah, yeah. Um, putting other people on a pedestal, dealing with projections, and kind of giving your power away. It's interesting because one is about kind of like alchemizing some of your pain and helping you reclaim your power or like mend uh painful relationship patterning and dynamics in your relationship so you can heal and grow deeper with someone. There could be news about a contract or something that feels healing or influential or affirming, but that Venus opposite Neptune, there's also you're not seeing the full picture for what it really is at this moment.
SPEAKER_02Like Venus opposite Neptune is like, oh my God, I've been following a cult leader.
Stephanie CamposYes. Yes, a thousand percent.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and like Venus trying Pluto is bonding with other cult, like people who have left the cult.
Stephanie CamposYeah, there you go. There you go. That is a perfect summary.
SPEAKER_02Just bringing this up because I recently watched a documentary about Guru Jugget, aka Katie Griggs, and I was a part of her cult, her Kunalini Yoga cult. It's a documentary on HBO called Breath of Fire. And so many things that I experienced with her was very Neptunian. Like I didn't realize things. I there were red flags that I didn't really pick up on. Um and you know, when you have a charismatic leader, they also prey on people who are traumatized and they're very charismatic. So that's why that example popped popped up into my head.
Stephanie CamposThat's a great example.
SPEAKER_02I'm okay, everyone. That was years ago. On August 11th, Mercury and Leo will oppose Pluto retrograde in Aquarius at three degrees, and then Mercury will try Neptune retrograde in Aries at four degrees, and then Venus and Libra will try Uranus and Gemini at five degrees, and then Mars will enter Cancer. So August 11th is really busy, huh?
Stephanie CamposI hate it. I hate it. I'm gonna be crying all day. I'm gonna be crying all day. I just know it. Um when the sun was opposite Pluto, okay. So, first of all, when Mercury forms an opposition with Pluto, this is gonna bring us back to Jupiter opposite Pluto on July 20th, and then the Sun opposite Pluto on July 26th. Yeah, it was yesterday, right? Oh, yesterday, 27th. Okay, so yeah, I cried all days, both of those days. Like, um, so whatever is going on for you, it'll pick back up in some way. Um but Mercury opposite Pluto is it's almost like having the conversation about the things that popped up on those earlier days. And a lot of those conversations might involve power struggles, taking your power back.
SPEAKER_02Um feeling disempowered and having to go through that process of like catharsis.
Stephanie CamposYep.
SPEAKER_02I think great opposite Pluto is also finding out something that was previously hidden or subterranean. I think collectively that could be like a disclosure or something being revealed in your own personal life. It could be like, oh my gosh, I didn't realize that that thing still triggered me, but here we are again.
Stephanie CamposYeah. Or you finally sharing something that you've kept private and hidden and being vulnerable with someone else, and that can feel raw and healing and cathartic in of itself. It can be an empowering moment. And I think to your point regarding the other aspects, like those are gentle. Venus, trying Uranus helps us be engage in relationships in new ways. Right. So yeah, so those are supportive for like if there is some sort of powerful disruption, something that triggers you or jars you, there's this ability to seek comfort in your chosen family.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and Mercury and Leo trying Neptune, retrograde, and Aries. If we have any writers in here, that's such a good day to write like fantasy mythology. It's a good day to um like vocalize what you're imagining, your visions. And then Mars enters cancer, which is in its fall. Um, you know, I think when it's Mars and Cancer in people's charts, I think these tend to a lot of athletes have Mars and cancer, but when it's like in the mundane level, it's always such a rough time.
Stephanie CamposAnd it's gonna bring us back to September 4th of 2024, which was the last time Mars was in cancer. And it was during the Mars retrograde that took place in Cancer. So it will also bring us back to January of 2025. So similar themes and topics from those time periods are gonna resurface. Of course, all the other outer planets have changed and moved around, but um yeah, when Mars is in cancer, it's answering to the moon. And the moon changes signs every two and a half days, it changes aspects, and so are we always gonna be direct? Are we always gonna be motivated? No, and that's hard when you're existing inside of a capitalist colonial white narcissist like world, right? So you know, we're gonna have to find unique ways to get things done. But I think this does also I think with Mars and Cancer, there is this beautiful and profound protective streak within them to defend and protect those who need it most, the most vulnerable, um their neighbors, their chosen family, you know. So this can help activate all of the all, you know, all that within all of us as well.
SPEAKER_02I agree. I love that. On August 12th, Mercury and Leo will sextile Uranus and Gemini at five degrees. And this is the day of the solar, the total solar eclipse at 20 degrees of Leo at 1.36 p.m. Eastern time. So do you want to break down Mercury and Leo first? Sure, yeah. As the signature of the eclipse.
Stephanie CamposNo, I think that's lovely to have it in the backdrop. The the Mercury Sextile Uranus, like that is going to help us, you know, come up with solutions in innovative ways where we didn't think possible. It's gonna help us have conversations that feel expansive and inspiring and insightful. It helps us take risks and can help us change our own thought patterns and the storyline. There's interesting and intriguing interactions and conversations and news that's exchanged today, and that can be very lively and dynamic. Um but an eclipse is an eclipse, and you know, a new moon solar eclipse, oftentimes you'll read it's a new beginning. However, this is a south node eclipse. The eclipse is taking place very closely to the south node, a point of faded and destined release. And that doesn't mean that there won't be new beginnings, but it means that especially so before we can kind of experience some of those new beginnings, there is a loss, there's a removal, there is uh a shift and a clearing out of the space. So we have that space for new opportunities and connections to find us. And an eclipse in Leo, it feels personal. It feels like whatever is coming up uh shakes and rattles your ego self, your identity, who you thought you were. But this is an opportunity to let go of old versions of yourself, and I think also to forgive past versions of yourself and kind of let that go and clear it out so you can show up more authentically with your heart, with your joy, and be of service in that way to the world.
SPEAKER_02I think of South Note eclipses as a colonic when you're just like washing everything out. Ooh, all the like gunk, you know, all the poop.
Stephanie CamposYeah, it's your the poop lettuce.
SPEAKER_02It's the poop lettuce.
Stephanie CamposYou might eat some, you know, especially if you have a Leo rising or a Pisces rising, you might eat poop lettuce before the eclipse on accident. That's my hot take. But I hope not.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's a good point because I think if you are a Leo rising, especially if you have your ascended degree around this time, there is a physical manifestation of the eclipse in the South Node. I've experienced that many times. So just a PSA for all you Leo risings out there, or if this is conjoined to your moon or your sun, it can be like a literal manifestation.
Stephanie CamposFor sure. When we were having those South Node eclipses on my moon in Virgo, and then when Mercury was also like stationing retrograde on my moon, I had diarrhea every time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Because like what's happening during an eclipse is one of the luminaries is eclipsed, and this is our physical body. It's also, you know, when you think about a solar eclipse, this is during the day, technically, when the sun is eclipsed, which gives everything life. So it's really disorienting for humans, for animals. It was a time when our ancestors were they were like, what the hell is going on? Are we being punished? We have to do perspective things. I know in my culture they would bang drums so that the evil spirits wouldn't overtake their bodies. So eclipses, there are times when you're supposed to surrender, when you're supposed to take care of your body and not force things to happen.
Stephanie CamposYeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. This is in the third decan of Leo, which is ruled by the Seven of Wands. Which is a Mars rule Deccan. So how do you interpret this card?
Stephanie CamposWell, I interpret this card as a figure who is trying to prove themselves. They are in a position that looks like they have an advantage, they're uphill, you know, they're firmly, they have a firm stance, but they're wearing two different shoes in the card. And that also kind of shows that they're ill-prepared, that maybe, you know, they're getting things together last minute. But there's this energy of like needing to prove yourself in the card before this, the six of wands, you're being celebrated. You you reach that pinnacle, that moment of success. And now that you're at this level, prove it. Why do you deserve to stay here? You have to fight for it. So it doesn't mean that you're gonna lose it and you're a failure and you don't deserve it, but it means kind of like practice what you preach, like do it, like show us why you're worthy of it. And I think this card often uh also um brings up like uh projections and jealousy and like um you know, haters in a way as well. So there's this need uh to kind of fight off that energy as well.
SPEAKER_02Like protection, yeah. I always yeah, I similarly it's like I'm fighting for this. There's no error taking this away from me.
Stephanie CamposYeah. So you no, go on, go on, go on.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I was just gonna give the other the dates of the other eclipses.
Stephanie CamposOh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Uh so if you want to think back to the last solar eclipse in Leo, this was August 21st, 2017. This happened at 28 degrees of Leo. And then the last lunar eclipse, which is a full moon, happened on January 20th, 2019, at zero degrees of Leo. With similar themes, maybe not exactly, but the that was the last time we had the eclipses.
Stephanie CamposYeah. And those were North Node eclipses in Leo. But still it will be it'll kind of echo back to that time period. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Did you wanna finish what you were saying until I interrupted you?
Stephanie CamposUh I think what was I gonna say? Just I don't remember. It's okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay, it might come back. Okay, so that was a solar eclipse. On August 13th, Mercury and Leo will sextile Venus and Leo at six degrees.
Stephanie CamposLove great for sighting. Yeah. Meet cutes, right?
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. Oh, it should have been Libra.
Stephanie CamposGreat for connection, sensuality, for poetry, for creative writing, great for building community, for embodying your values, um making commitments, learning supportive news, learning a new skill, dancing. Great for sex. I think anytime Mercury and Venus come together in a gentle way, you see a lot of dancers that have that aspect or people who can dance well. And that we know funnels into the bedroom. So maybe you have some good sex this day.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Um, I like this because it's like really vibey. Like, let's talk about things. And then when we get to August 15th, we have the Jupiter Mercury conjoint to Jupiter at 10 degrees of Leo, which I think is nice, right? It's like expansive conversations, it's a new sononic cycle between them.
Stephanie CamposYes. I think you there you could definitely learn lucky news or have or just feel more grateful for what's going right in your life. I think it'll really be blown up on the internet as like um the luckiest day of the year. Yes, yes, exactly. But really what's happening is Jupiter just expands every planet that it comes in contact with. So whatever you're focused on mentally at that time is going to be expanded. So if you're having a sad day, an emo day, you might have a good cry, you know, and maybe you're grateful for your support system, the people around you. But there is this element of wisdom, integrating lessons, starting a new intellectual, philosophical, spiritual journey. Um, I think there's potential to get into heated arguments about our beliefs with other people because it's coming through in that fixed sign. But as long as you're speaking from the heart and you're on the right side of history, go for it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Just as like what Stephanie was saying, if you're a narcissist and you have Mercury conjunct Jupiter, you could just be saying a lot of BS. Yes, and really believe what you're saying. So, like I considered these, I consider a lot of these planets to be neutral. It's how you use them that is important, like the intention behind it. So um, yeah, I think on social media, this will be couched as like the best day to announce, and it could, and it definitely can be. I think it's a good electional day if you want to uh launch a newsletter, a business. Um, I just I just pointed out that there's a long void of course moon that day until like 10 19 a.m. But otherwise, like I like this day.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02And then on August 17th, Mars and Cancer will square Neptune retrograde in Aries at three degrees. So a lot is going on August 17th, too. Mercury and Leo will try and Saturn retrograde in Aries at 14 degrees, Venus and Libra will sextile Jupiter and Leo at 10 degrees.
Stephanie CamposYeah, again, this is a mixed bag. I think a lot of August has kind of that's kind of our our take so far, is like it's a mixed bag because Mars square Neptune can be deceptive. It can be um, you know, collectively we're seeing war and violence enacted in the name of spirituality and ideals, like genocides committed all over the world, you know, based on beliefs and spirituality. Um and in our personal lives, we might also be really exhausted. This is a great time to remember that masking is great to do. It's respectful because disabled people deserve safety as well. Um you know, there can be spreads of diseases when Mars squares Neptune. So whether it's like the common cold or something else, like you just never know how it's going to affect someone else. Um, so just being proactive, bring your hand sanitizer, et cetera, et cetera. Um, you might be feeling exhausted or worn down or like giving up. It could be a crisis of faith, but it can also be this moment where you're taking action and defending and standing up for those who need it most, and on behalf of your ideals and beliefs as well. And that can be positive.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. Yeah, the mixed bag thing. Wow. This is like I think Mars Square Neptune to me is always like popping the bubble, or I was seeing, I was reading this as like another event that happens in our collective where it bursts people's propaganda, or like people are like, oh my gosh, I can't believe I didn't know that. And meanwhile, we're all sitting here like we've been telling you for. I mean, you know, it's like one of those things. And but I like Mercury trying Saturn because it, especially if you're a writer or if you're somebody who works in the realm of the word, this is a good day to focus and lock in and get um your work done. Um, and then Venus and Libra, Sextile, Jupiter and Leo, like that just seems really nice. It's like the two benefics coming together in a nice way. So mix back. Yeah.
Stephanie CamposYeah, that is debatably one of the most fortunate aspects that we can get, right? So it, but you have to put it in the context of everything. And I think the Venus Sextile Jupiter, while it can bring support, it could also in progress and lucky news, it can also just be like um when I order my nachos from my favorite restaurant and they give me extra cheese. And I love it. You know what I mean? Or they put like the right amount of sour cream on the nachos. Yeah. Like that can be Venus Sextile Jupiter. It doesn't have to be this like monumental thing. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Remember that day in June when there is like the luckiest day of the year. Um, it was Venus Jupiter conjunction in cancer. And I mean, I'm an astrologer, so I've I have not low expectations, but I definitely temper my expectations when it comes to these things because I'm like, it's gonna be so mundane, but it's still gonna be lovely. And what happened was um I gave my friend a ride and she Venmoed me $15 for the toll. I think I might have texted you this and she bought me dinner, and like that was the Venus Jupiter for me.
Stephanie CamposYeah, yeah. Free food. I think I got free food that that day too. I think Joey got me, you know, or got a dinner or something. And like, yeah, it can be as simple as that, but like it's the little things that we need to be grateful for.
SPEAKER_02We don't need these big monumental things, so like an Amazon gift card, like Jupiter acting like your beneficiary. Right, right. Like, where are my checks? Yeah, could be for some people, that's the thing. So we're not ruling it all out. Um, and so after August 12th, too, we are officially in like the eclipse window, because we went from the solar eclipse. Now we're going into the uh waning phase, waxing phase of the moon. So this is gonna be like an interesting time, I think, for people personally, collectively, right?
Stephanie CamposIt is so busy. I find that during eclipse season, I have something on every single day of the week, which is a nightmare for me. But as an introvert. But yeah, it uh it's a very busy time. So don't overpack your schedules.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
Stephanie CamposThings will come up.
SPEAKER_02Uh I'm gonna have to remember this. Um, uh, why do I keep saying July? Because it's still July. Um time isn't real. Oh my gosh. August 21st, Venus and Libra will oppose Saturn retrograde in Aries at 14 degrees. That's a little bit of an ouch. It's a little tough with relationships, but I will have to say that Venus has the better, like it's more in its domicile here.
Stephanie CamposMm-hmm. Right. Yeah. And there's reception there. Saturn is exalted in Libra, so that's nice. Uh, I just think Venus opposite Saturn, like it's a day of feeling isolated or rejected, or hearing a no, or feeling depressed. You know, and and it's okay. As Laura reminded me just a mere 24 hours ago, these are often symptoms of uh structures that are beyond our control. Yeah. So just take it easy on yourself. Like be gentle with yourself. Do what you can to nourish and nurture yourself and your loved ones. Um, this is not the day for like expressing all of your feelings or doing big grand gestures. Um, people are a little prickly today, they're not feeling as receptive. Uh, you might need to navigate boundaries or responsibility or relationships with responsibility and care.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, a relational crossroads. Like, do we want to stay committed? Do we want to keep going?
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_02Do I want to keep doing this thing too? Because Venus is also your uh values and Saturn is commitment and your desire, what you're enjoying. Exactly. Um, and then on August 22nd, the Sun and Leo will conjoin the South Note at 29 degrees. I don't I don't like when this happens because fabulous. Um, and then the sun will enter Virgo. It just feels like I have no energy.
Stephanie CamposLike someone someone important is gonna die.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Which I was I was hoping it was D DJT.
Stephanie CamposThat's his rising degree, isn't it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Um, Charles Charles the Third, because he's also a Leo rising.
Stephanie CamposGod, I just forget he's still with us. He's so crusty.
SPEAKER_02Isn't he crusty, musty, and dusty?
Stephanie CamposYeah, this is all just for entertainment purposes only. Wink wink.
SPEAKER_02Obvious today. Obviously, like which witches, what do we know? Yeah, um like the sun represents a king, it represents like a famous figure, and when the sun was conjoined to the south node back in 2025 is when Charlie Kirk was murdered, and then when Venus was conjoined to the South Note, that's when Lindsey Graham left this physical plane. Oh, so it's just like you know, it's a pattern.
Stephanie CamposYeah, something's going on there. Um, personally, you might that's just kind of a time to do have an ego death. Enjoy that ride. Think of it as a scary roller coaster and ride the ride and let it go, surrender to what's coming up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because it's the sun at the energy degree. You might feel like, what is the point? I'm not important. You might have a crisis of your identity. Yep. Yeah. And then we are officially in Virgo season. The sun enters Virgo on August 22nd. Yay for Virgos, the Virgos. Happy solar return. And on August 25th, interestingly enough, Mercury will conjoin the South Node at 29 degrees and kind of follow the same pattern, and then Mercury will enter Virgo. Oh I think this also means like a journalist or like a news channel, something happening here.
Stephanie CamposOh, yeah. I think all that Jimmy Kimmel stuff was happening when Mercury was on one of the nodes. So definitely something like that. Um yep. I think that's a really, really good call out. And I will say Mercury and Virgo this year, I love it because we're not opposite Saturn anymore. And Mercury is exalted and at home in Virgo. So speaking of electional astrology, this is the next few weeks is a great time for launching things, making progress on creative writing or speaking or learning new things, doing magic. Yes.
SPEAKER_02I think Venus changes signs on September 10th. So between August 25th through September 10th, you have both Venus in Libra and Mercury in Virgo. So like really good.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02And then on August 27th, there will be a Mercury Kazimi at four degrees in Virgo.
Stephanie CamposYes. This is um I want to lump I was gonna say I want to lump August 27th and 28th together because I feel like that is baked into the lunar eclipse, you know, which is it just feels so big. Yeah, I mean the Mercury Casimi, right? Like Mercury is being reborn in your Virgo house. Um it's a period of strength and illumination, aha moments. So that's all great, but we're having this crazy eclipse a couple hours later.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and Mercury will have the kazimi the next day, it will square Uranus and Gemini at five degrees, and then the sun in Virgo will square Uranus in Gemini at five degrees. So the Kazimi and the squares to uh Uranus are baked into this partial lunar eclipse in Pisces at four degrees. So it's I think we're gonna find out some crazy stuff on this day.
Stephanie CamposYes. Yes. This is like the aliens finally visit and nobody cares. Because we already know, like, I I'm still shocked by like what was that first like disclosure in like 2021 in the middle of COVID when um they did that first big disclosure, and people were like, We this is the least of our concern, like whatever, you know. Um, but yeah, it is something like absolutely wild happening, and um people being like, are these aliens going to rescue us from late stage capitalism?
SPEAKER_02Nobody cares.
Stephanie CamposAre they gonna give us free health care?
SPEAKER_02Like the latest the latest job of the aliens was so funny because that's stuff that we've seen from like the 1950s, and people's reactions were like, and we just at this point, like we just want to see their faces, we want to see their bodies, and we want to hear their little voices, and yeah, I'm I'm done with the UFOs.
Stephanie CamposWe get it, they move fast, they move in weird directions, they move in the ocean. Amazing.
SPEAKER_02Okay, but like what species of aliens are we talking about here?
Stephanie CamposBecause well, there's so many, right?
SPEAKER_02I feel like they're just trying to sell us on this like green, green, big-eyed, like alien thing, where it's like there's so many different species of aliens. Some aliens look human. I feel like I'm alien. Hello. Yes, they're from a different planet. Yes, yes, Aquarian. It's kind of like, I don't know, there's nothing that they could show me that I would be like, oh my god, about now.
Stephanie CamposRight, right.
SPEAKER_02Aliens are this sense to me.
Stephanie CamposThey gotta switch it up though. They've like, like you to your point, like we've seen enough of the UFOs moving haphazardly in the sky. Literally. There's something next. But yeah, okay, we're getting off track with the eclipse. The eclipse is insane. So, like, very destabilizing, unexpected developments, shock, surprise to your sense of self, your ego, your identity, shocking news, shocking conversations, but also like divine downloads, revelations, because that kazimi is baked into it. Um, it's like you do uh a meditation session and you have a crazy aha moment, or at the end of it, you wake up to the unexpected email, or I don't know, um, that you've been waiting for that changes everything. Or yeah, it just feels it's hard to say. It's unpredictable. That's the nature of Uranus, and this eclipse is totally uranium and Pisces is all about ending, surrendering, the collective unconscious um duality, you know? So there's a lot of big themes there.
SPEAKER_02Yes, it's very mutable. It's a full moon, so it's an ending anyway. And but I feel like a lot of people will know what this is about since we've been having eclipses here since 20 the fall of 2024. So it's sort of like, all right, are we done done? Like, are we completing the cycle? And all these squares to Uranus is sort of giving that like, are we ready to move on? Like, are we ready to change? Are we ready to break patterns and change the way we think about ourselves, feel about ourselves? And it's a moon that is ruled by Jupiter and Leo. So it is like, do you have the faith in yourself? Do you have the um, are you giving yourself enough like opportunity for you to shine, for you to follow your dreams?
Stephanie CamposAnd Jupiter and Leo is working towards that trine with Saturn and Aries. So that's very stabilizing and uh gives you the structure to bring your dreams and visions to life and the commitment as well. But this is taking place in the first decade of Pisces, the Eight of Cups, which is just it's a little sad, it's a little emo. But it's it's like it's like a sacrifice, you know, like the the figure in the card knows that they gotta do it, and that on the other side, that nine of cups is just so cute and glorious, you know, it's only up from here, but you but you're in a a place where what has been going on hasn't been working, and you're walking away from it, and that feels heavy and there's grief there. And in this card, there's an eclipse.
SPEAKER_02Yes, that's so right.
Stephanie CamposAnd the and the sun is like I know the sun is like side-eyeing, like ugh again. Yeah, it's it's so juicy.
SPEAKER_02It is, it's I feel like it's gonna be really emotional. It's gonna be like I have to do this even though I don't want to. And we were talking about like how we're also feeling we have to um let go of things that just feel old and outdated. And there is sadness to that. Okay, so last day, August 31st, Jupiter and Leah will try and Saturn retrograde in Aries at 13 degrees, and then Venus will enter its pre shadow at 22 Libra.
unknownI like
SPEAKER_02I like that the last day is in this very supportive trine between Jupiter and Saturn. I think it's affirming. If you think back to the great conjunction that happened December 20th, 2020, between Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, this is the opening trine. So it's like something is building from that moment.
Stephanie CamposSo many moons ago. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. And this is a very positive. Like I think when ancient astrologers, traditional astrologers, uh, when you have like positive Jupiter and Saturn configurations, it's like wealth, land, accrual, like bounty, abundance, right? Like um intelligence, wisdom, like all the positive things are associated with it. Positive. Yeah. Yeah. So this I think can be very beautiful. Um so enjoy that. You know, it's it's almost like the fruits of your labor are starting to pay off around this time, perhaps. Venus entering the pre-shadow period at Libra in in Libra. Um just from this moment on, things are gonna get a little messier. I think the pre-shadow period are is always the messiest time for me. Me too. Because you don't have the solutions, you know the themes, the people, the characters that are irritating you, but you don't know fully how it's gonna unfold just yet. So you can't solve it just yet, but you know you have two more months of this, two and a half more months of that, you know, so it's just frustrating. Um but yeah, Venus doesn't go retrograde till October 3rd, it stays retrograde till November 14th. Like we're in it for a long haul. So this is from now until October 3rd, you're collecting data.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
Stephanie CamposThat's what you're doing.
SPEAKER_02It goes from its domicile in Libra to its least, I guess like least favorite place in Scorpio, um, in its detriment. So it's gonna be an interesting Venus retrograde because it's like, yay, and then it's like, I hate you. Relational dynamics for sure. And also maybe what you value, you're gonna think about are these people that are in my life, are we aligned in our values? Do we have the same uh moral compass? Do we have the same ideas and philosophies around relationships and what it takes to be in a relationship? And yeah. Like friends are gonna break up, breakups, relationships are gonna be tested.
Stephanie CamposYep. Exes coming back into your world. It's it is a good time to return to old hobbies. That is like the only, you know, or creative outlets. Um that is a positive time.
SPEAKER_02That's a positive time. But yeah, I really like the Jupiter Saturn. I've been looking forward to that, especially because the square, the opening square, what which was like 2024 to 2025 when Jupiter was in Gemini and Saturn was in Pisces was so rough. That's when I that's when I was like, do I even want to do astrology anymore? And I was getting into with my mom because she was like, Why do you want to do this? Oh my gosh. I really had to fight for this, you know, and I had to believe in myself. And so think back to that era. And if there was something that you were building and it really tested you, you know, so this is like the trying.
Stephanie CamposThat's that is that's a good, that's something to look forward to. I like that. Yeah, because that was a trying time. It was a especially in your time.
SPEAKER_02It was rough.
Stephanie CamposYeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So the moral of the story is to believe in yourself and to get radically delusional and optimistic about yourself and the people that you cherish and who believe in you and who could breathe life into you in your dreams. And to grow your own food, and to grow your own food.
Stephanie CamposYes, and to share it with your neighbors.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
Stephanie CamposYes.
SPEAKER_02Okay, it was such a great um catch-up with you. And thank you all. Wait, Stephanie, do you want to talk about the thing you're offering?
Stephanie CamposOh, yes. I'm teaching grimoire again. So it is my 12-week mystical course designed to help you become a better witch in 12 weeks. It includes Astrology 101, Tarot 101, psychic development, um, and just like all of my daily practices and personal grimoire. I go through my rituals and routines and like what has helped me become the witch that I am. And if you're interested in like strengthening a relationship with your own intuition and your ancestors and doing so in an ethical way through a decolonial lens and just being in right relationship with magic, then this is for you. So there'll be a link in the show notes. When does it start? It starts on September 24th. Okay. And what about you? What are your latest offerings?
SPEAKER_02Right now, nothing. I'm finishing up my cohort of 102. We just did the transits, which I am obsessed with. I love transits and doing like um a little predictive timing. Um, but I'm going to do 101 again September 22nd.
Stephanie CamposOkay.
SPEAKER_02All right. It's coming up. I wonder if we picked similar astrology to launch our classes.
Stephanie CamposI think we did.
SPEAKER_02Okay, everyone. We'll see you next month. Bye. All right. Bye.
